HillTop Gardens of Scotia, Nebraska opened in 2011. It brought the greenhouse that had been previously used for perennial supply by Buller DesignScapes, its parent company, to the public as a retail structure. The garden center was built and its interior finished with reclaimed tin and boards from an old Nebraskan barn. A second greenhouse was erected near the store and stocked with annuals for the Garden Center’s grand opening.
A room with large windows was added for tropical plants (2017) and a breezeway was built between the store and the newest of the two greenhouses (2018). The building was added to again with additional rooms for home decor, a floral shop, and a break / consultation room (2021).
